What is a muscle imbalance?

  • When muscles on one side of the body or bone become short and tight from overuse, the muscles on the opposing side can become long and weak from lack of use. (Think: tight chest and weak upper back which equals shoulders rounding forward)

  • Through stretching, specific strength training, and yoga, these muscle imbalances can be corrected.
